Meet our Senior Management Team


David Rose

David Rose, Managing Director

David joined the Primecare team in September 2008, having been Chief Executive of Hereford Hospitals NHS Trust and more recently as Chief Executive of NHS Warwickshire. He has previously been a Strategic Health Authority Board member and leader of the national Coronary Heart Disease Collaborative.

Vanessa Jane

Vanessa Jane, Executive Assistant to the Managing Director

Vanessa joined the Primecare team in September 2008 having previously worked in both London and Birmingham. Vanessa thrives on providing first class support and has previously worked with celebrities, entrepreneurs and Chief Executives in major companies such as National Express, The NEC Group and Ernst & Young.

Dr Tony Felton

Dr Tony Felton, Medical Director

Tony joined Primecare on 14th June 2010. He is a qualified GP and has previously provided health care consultancy advice to a range of NHS and commercial organisation. Tony's work focuses on building up external relationships with stakeholders and providing medical leadership.

Helen Kelly

Helen Kelly, Operations Director

Helen is responsible for delivering quality and efficiency at Primecare's company's contact centres, and developing robust, customer-focused operational teams. She is responsible for the development and management of health care services in the central and southern regions. Her previous extensive experience includes work with Barclays and the RAC.

Meirion George

Meirion George, Operations Director

Meirion has over 25 years experience in healthcare services provision predominantly in the public sector. His last NHS post before joining Primecare in March 2006 was as Assistant General Manager for surgical services at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. Meirion is responsible for the development and management of health care services in secure establishments. He also manages our urgent care services in Wales and the South West of England.

Tom Elrick

Tom Elrick, Business Development Director - Urgent Care

Tom joined the Primecare team in Nov 2009. With extensive unscheduled care delivery experience Tom is responsible for strengthening our position in the Urgent Care sector.

With a background in nursing Tom has worked clinical and management posts across the health sector, in both NHS and independent organisations in primary and secondary care. Prior to joining Primecare Tom worked for national independent providers developing innovative service models in the fields of Urgent Care / Out of Hours and Equitable Access.

Sarah Campbell

Sarah Campbell, Business Development Director - New Services

Sarah recently joined the Primecare team to focus on building on our current successes in the management of patient services. Sarah has over 20 years experience in the development of patient services and quality of care for patients requiring renal therapy, both in the NHS and the independent sector. Working closely with PCTs, NHS Trusts and the Commercial Directorate, Sarah has led Project Teams to implement additional services to ensure that patients are treated close to home in line with DH directives, National Service Frameworks and best practice guidance.

James Hodgkiss

James Hodgkiss, Head of Finance

James is responsible for all aspects of finance including monthly reporting, forecasting and new business modelling. James has a broad range of experience in finance starting with qualification at one of the Big Four audit firms and then spending a number of years at outsourcing companies providing key services to Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs. James joined Primecare in September 2007.

Ruth Wilkin

Ruth Wilkin, Head of Communications and Marketing

Ruth is responsible for all aspects of communication and marketing including media relations, internal communications and public relations. Ruth has a wealth of experience at leading communications in a range of NHS organisations as well as working with the Department of Health. Ruth joined the Primecare team in Feb 2009.

Kim Cautley

Kim Cautley, HR Director

Kim is an HR Professional with considerable experience at senior level in varying sectors including Logistics, Retail, Environmental Services and Aviation. In Primecare, Kim and her team provides the organisation with the full range of human resource services. Kim joined the Primecare team in June 2008.

Judy Prescott

Judy Prescott, Head of Safety and Quality

Judy Prescott started as Head of Safety and Quality at the start of 2010. She is a qualified nurse and has worked with Primecare for around ten years. Judy's role focuses on ensuring that all of our services meet the standards expected of NHS providers and continually improving the quality of the services we provide. Judy is currently running several initiatives on patient safety, and sharing best practice across Primecare's different service lines.
