Health Care In Secure Settings
We provide health care services in a number of prisons and other secure settings including immigration centres and secure training centres. We offer the full range of primary care services as well as services to avoid the need to transfer patients to hospital where possible, mental health inreach and IDTSs. Our urgent health care services that provide GP care throughout the night and at weekends and bank holidays also covers prisons in some areas.
Primecare provide health care services in several secure settings.
Prisons: HMP Wolds, Yorkshire; Altcourse, Liverpool; Styal, Wilmslow.
Immigration Centres: Dungavel, Scotland; Harmondsworth, London.
Secure Training Centres: Medway, Kent; Rainsbrook, Rugby; Oakhill, Milton Keynes.
Our aim is to ensure that the standard of health care for people in secure establishments is equal to or better than health care offered in the community. The health care we provide in Secure Training Centres have all been rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted.
